Who We Are

The existing historic facade of the building will be preserved.

Creating a Museum

The Danforth Museum of Art (DMA) is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the area’s rich artistic heritage. For over 40 years, the Danforth Gallery operated as a premier space showcasing and selling a variety of contemporary art. Transformed into Park County’s first art museum, the DMA houses a growing permanent collection of artwork, much of it previously held privately, now accessible and preserved for the enjoyment of the public. Envisioned as a community resource, the DMA will host engaging and educational events as well as professional resources for working artists—connecting the past and future of Livingston.

Our Mission

To celebrate the legacy of Livingston’s arts community and expand the engagement with art through exhibitions, education and the permanent collection.

Our Vision

An inclusive and diverse arts community that inspires curiosity, encourages learning, and sustains creativity.
