On May 7th, a windstorm whipped through Livingston and knocked out one of our aging upstairs windows. No one was hurt, but it is clear the brittle plastic sashes are no longer up to the task of securing the building. Our first goal is to restore the integrity of the museum with a new window. The first $2,500 raised will pay for the missing upstairs window (includes labor and materials for installation). Our second goal is to replace all the windows on the aging façade. Each additional $2,500 will buy another upstairs window to match it and fully secure the museum. The street
level windows will be replaced with every additional $3,500. Additional support above the fundraising goal will help us afford construction contingencies and the continued upkeep of the Danforth Museum of Art’s historic façade.
